American Literature

American Literature is a required one-semester course intended for juniors. Students in American Literature focus on comprehension and analysis of American works as well as incorporating those into a historical framework. Also, students learn advanced research skills as well as composition writing.

Some texts of American Literature include The Autobiography of Frederick Douglass, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Raisin in the Sun, Great Gatsby, Of Mice and Men, and Catcher in the Rye, as well as various short stories and poetry.
